The microdermabrasion machine fires sterile micro crystals at the skin to lift off the dead skin cells which lay on the surface, these particles and the dead skin cells are removed by a vacuum. The action of the machine not only instantly deep cleanses and reveals fresher skin but also stimulates repair mechanisms in the skin to build firmer collagen. Microdermabrasion can also be a useful tool to aid the penetration of topical products to enhance results. The procedure is not painful and takes about 30 minutes.Time to heal
Some may have a rosy glow afterwards, as if they have been in a hot bath or sauna, this will settle after only a couple of hours. Makeup can be worn immediately. Your therapist will recommend that you skip the gym that evening and don't have too hot a bath or shower as this may cause the skin to sting as if mildly sunburnt. Also sunscreen must be worn for at least 4 days.How long does it last?
You may note an instant improvement in the appearance of the skin. A course of treatments will be recommended according to your needs and expectations.
